| Welcome to a new section in the D.M.A.C. website. We intend reviewing
a lot of new (and old) model kits as well as some of the other goodies available
to aeromodellers. These are aimed at guiding all abilities of model fliers and
builders into what may or may not be suitable models for a given experience level.
Not only will there be reviews of kits, we also intend reviewing commmercially
available plans for scratch-building.
As you will see, we have abandoned the conventionial format of reviewing kits and start with the models flying performance. If you're anything like us, this is the first section of any kit review you read anyway! We also hope to be objective about how we rate a model. On the basis that we have to go out and buy all the models reviewed here, build them and then fly them, week in - week out, perhaps our reviews will be of more use to you than some of the modelling magazines' reviews. In the main, very few models are built exactly as per the models supplied instructions and any modifications (and the reasons for doing so) will be dealt with. |
